None of them was impatient. Embree was the only one with a short tenure but he was dead from the beginning and not capable of digging them out the hole.

Washington: On their 4th coach since 2000. Counting Steve's 5th year the average span of their last 4 coaches is 3.75 years.

UCLA: On their 7th coach since 2000. The guy at the turn of the century had 7 seasons, so including those 7 plus Mora's 2nd thats still 2.85 years.

Cal: Tedford had a long 11-year run but he is gone, on their 3rd coach since 2000.

Colorado: On coach number 6 since 2000, #5 since 2005. Including Barnett's 99-2005 7 season span equals 3.2 years average. From 2005-2012 = 2.25 years.

That's 20 coaches between those 4 since 2000. Sorry but 3/4 have not given their coaches a lot of time. Granted some of their records were awful early and often.

And yes, it can also be argued that Stanford hasn't always shown patience, the previous two coaches before Harbaugh coached a combined 5 seasons and they're on coach number 4 or 5 since 2000.. but clearly they would've liked to retain Harbaugh if at all possible.
