His tone ("Hey Hey My My" is a good example) is so influntial to the entire alternative movement, especially (and obviously) grunge.
Also, the two aforementioned guitar workouts on Everybody Knows This is Nowhere are pretty damn good, as well as his duel with Stephen Stills on the "Southern Man" from 4 Way Street .

Anyone else listen to Live at Massey Hall 1971? When I want to listen to Neil this gets heavy playtime
