Everybody Knows This is Nowhere and After the Gold Rush are my favorites. His last album wasn't bad either. If you want to dig deep, his archive set is amazing.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere was my first Neil Young album.
I credit "Down by the River" with sparking my interest in jamming and long, extended grooves. I remember to this day hearing it for the first time when I was 14 and being blown away. Truly an eye opener for me.
Oh and "Cowgirl in the Sand" is on that album. Don't get me started on the epicness of that piece....
But other great Neil albums have been mentioned in here. On the Beach, Tonight's the Night, Harvest, Rust Never Sleeps, and even last year's Psychedelic Pill are all fantastic. Live at Fillmore East 1970 is pretty fricking rocking as well.
Neil Young is the greatest Canadian ever and one of the greatest artists ever![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)
