Hey PS while we're on the subject of other sports, what's the Rants thoughts on Trent Johnson? Seems that he's making decent progress to eventually get us out of the bball cellar. If there ever was an extremely building project in CBB, it's TCU's program.

This... This will not end well.

But to answer your question, the rant hates him. He's a great guy by all accounts but was just way in over his head and couldn't recruit a lick, which is 3/4 of the battle in college hoops, if not more.

As a previous poster said, "he's your problem now."

I dont think trent was a bad coach as far as coaching the players went.

It was more tge lazy recruiting. Not being able to click with these southern kids and families. So yall may see some success compared to the past, but he wont bring in talent to make you a good team compared to others in your conference.

Personality of a slug, which obviously doesn't work here

Could get a recruit to LSU to save his job.

I thought he'd be good here which he wasnt. His first team was already here for him. Without the shite seed they got it was probably a sweet 16 possible more team.

But he did zippo after that. So good luck

He was a decent X and Os guy, but like others have said he could not recruit to save his life..

Also his teams are terrible to watch.

I like Trent but good luck with that. Based on what he did at LSU, he will never recruit enough good players to have any depth and that is a necessity these days. Johnny Jones made us competitive his first year with only the addition of a graduate transfer, a junior college player, and one freshman that played fairly well. Next year with the great recruiting class coming in, the sky is the limit.
