Depending on the break, it could be he healed and he be on the field by mid October.

Agree. Saying someone has a "broken ankle" or a "torn ACL" is like saying someone has been in an auto accident. There are fender-benders and there are head-on collisions.
If the broken ankle is a hairline fracture he could be healed in 2 months.
