While it is true there is a tradeoff between size and coordination, the NBA is absolutely the pinnacle of finding an optimal point on the spectrum.
Lebron would be at or near the top in every physical category for soccer, but his coordination is also in the 99.99th percentile in the world. I don't think it's correct to dismiss Lebron's prospects.

His footwork could be shite even if he trained to play soccer for years. He simply could be too tall.
