Zlatan and Koller are outliers

to be fair, so is lebron

i'm saying it's POSSIBLE. i honestly think soccer does have issues with getting too caught up in prototypes (like all sports, but the best examples is QB height). it's still amazing to me that guys like koeller and crouch got to play ST through the ranks

taller CBs like the seahawks CBs definitely have the foot skills

I think the Brits especially have an obsession with size at CB. When is the last time we saw an English CB under six foot? If Cannavaro and Puyol were British, they would never get close to CB.

In truth, there shouldn't be a size distinction in soccer.

Richard Sherman is 6'3". These huge corners in Seattle are still roughly five inches shorter than Lebron.

While it is true there is a tradeoff between size and coordination, the NBA is absolutely the pinnacle of finding an optimal point on the spectrum.

Lebron would be at or near the top in every physical category for soccer, but his coordination is also in the 99.99th percentile in the world. I don't think it's correct to dismiss Lebron's prospects.
