Collins did alot of damage on offense his senior year a few people started to think he could be a tailback in college after that year. But as a coverage safety/corner I think jones has the edge. Collins is a big hitter when I looked at his highlights covering wrs didn't stand out to me as with jones.

Collins was told he will return kicks and be their Wildcat QB from day 1, so those offensive skills will be necessary when he gets there.

At least I can see you've actually compared both by their film... There's no doubt that Hootie Jones is the better overall safety b/c of his coverage ability. Although LC was a beast, LC played more close to the line of scrimmage compared to Hootie who has actually taken snaps at corner as evidenced in both state title games against Karr. Hootie played man press that whole game in the receivers face and Karr never through one time against him. Not to say LC doesn't have coverage ability, I just didn't see much on film to say that he's a better prospect than Hootie. JMO
