Atlanta is a pretty half arse sports town. I don't know how they'd do with soccer.

They do well by NASL standards for the Silverbacks. The potential for it to work is there with the popularity of the youth game in the city and the Hispanic population. Blank wants it for the new metallic spiky rectum stadium they're building for the Falcons.

There's enough positive in my eyes to outweigh the negative of Atlanta being an apathetic sports city.

I think every SE city would really struggle to support a team.
