Right, but refs should adapt with the game, IMO.

I don't think "Well this is the way we've always done it" is any explanation when the question is, "Why can't you go faster to accommodate a perfectly legal operation?"

If it becomes an issue they may adapt in the future. But thus far there hasn't been any problems that I'm aware of. They aren't going to change the way they referee before there's an issue.

There are things they have to do between plays. I would just prefer accurate refereeing over fast refereeing.

It sounds really weird to say refereeing out loud.
