Shep averaged over 7 yds a carry and over 9 yds a catch. However, when I think of a lot of his drops I remember the quick lateral passes JJ would throw behind him or at his feet, or stretch him out to be decapitated by a Bama safety. This past year he seemed to be the go route receiver that was being overthrown.

So you're saying he would average those yards with about 15-20 touches a game. That's like watching Hill score a 15 yard run and saying his average is 15 yards per rush. You can't honestly believe that he should have played over Hill, Blue, Ford, Ware, etc...

And if you re-watch the snaps at receiver you can see that lots of times he ran the wrong route or missed the catch. While Beckham had a down year, he's noticeably a way more natural receiver who deserved more snaps.
