Agreed, personally I feel if we as a family could ever gross 120k, we'd be rolling in dough for us.
I'm frugal as hell. I feel 85k gross with one child will be possible to meet our retirement goals etc. It will be much harder when my wife wants a car in a year or two.
Luckily, cost of living is low in my area.
