the agent didn't do his job, so that part is his fault.

Way to create a strawman argument though

^^^ this poster doesn't understand how a strawman works.

"attack a straw man" is to create the illusion of having refuted a proposition by replacing it with a superficially similar yet unequivalent proposition (the "straw man"), and to refute it, without ever having actually refuted the original position

The original position is that it was his agent's fault. I am saying that it was in fact the player's fault. I didn't say that it was somebody else's fault. He should have read his contract. The fact that he didn't read his contract (or presumably listen to his agent after the contract was signed) is all on him.

1. If you read that contract, how much of it would you retain?

2. That is why he pays the agent, for things exactly like this.

I understand exactly how it works

you created this argument:

quote:

So this guy doesn't go to his workouts and it is his agent's fault?

which simplifies and leaves out the entire purpose of the original argument. The agent is paid to inform him of these parts of his contract. No one is claiming that he shouldn't have gone to the workouts, just that his agent should have informed him of it.
