Why is it a dumb post? It doesn't make sense why in the title it's 52" yet in the subject its 41.7" I'm confused too
He meant box jump, and I actually see people get this wrong all the time. He was saying that his real vertical was 41.7". It's a common mistake that I've seen numerous times.

Merritt is a kid who is somewhat under the radar in the state, but he's racing up offers quickly and after the camp circuit will probably be considered a top 15 talent in the state because of his ridiculous athleticism.

cp3lsu is a 25 year old who listens to taylor swift and watches how i met your mother. All he does on this board is cry and try to start fights with the guys who remind him of the jocks that beat him up in high school.
So mad.
I forgot more about sports when I was playing them then you ever knew.
You say the same old tired stuff each time. You're material is washed up.

Yeah so is it 52 or 41?
Geeze! The kid flat footed jumped on an object that was 52" high. Did you even watch the video? Then there is the verticals at combines that is measured differently.
Mr. Merritt if you have visited this site for any length of time then I would assume you know it is open to and populated by any and all nut jobs who choose to post. So please don't you or your son hold it against the whole fan base or LSU nor take it personally. It goes with the territory.

Going back and looking at this thread, it's reassuring to see that he's excelled as an athlete his entire life.
With his physique I was worried he may more of a gym rat. Appears he's a physical beast and elite talent. Perfect LSU Tiger material.

Are people just ignoring the fact that a 41.7 vert on a kid with that 40 is spectacular.
Yes a 52 on a box is different, but if one cant figure that out on their own, I don't know why they bother reading.

The "no offers as of yet" was posted back in July. He has a lot of offers now.

52 inch vertical
I would wager you couldn't jump on a 36" object flat footed. And never in your wildest dreams were you ever near the athlete he is. Yet you laugh? The laugh is at you.

WTF? The fact is the kid does not have a 52 inch vertical. I am easily entertained and found that absurd number funny to see posted, much like I would if he ran a 8.5 100 meters.
Don't take it so personal.
I would wager that you aren't near the athlete that I am and wouldn't talk chit to my face, but what the heck does that change of subject have to do with a non-existent 52 inch vertical?
Was Merritt falsely claiming he had a 52 inch vertical? Read slowly, think longer, then post useful info.
Now, the laugh is on you.
