Did you see how I arrived at that conclusion?
2008 -2011 (first half) - ~3.5 years at the time the Music Board was confirmed.
2010 - present - ~3.5 years.
The traffic on this site more than trippled in that time so I would expect the requests for a tech board to be signifigantly higher than the requests for the music board in the same time frame.
...but it didn't and that means there is less demand for a tech board per capita than for the music board.

A valid point, certainly. However, that point works because our data frame for music board requests was encumbered in 2011 when the board was confirmed to be in the works. Such an announcement would certainly slow the production of request threads.
Yet, if we normalize the data and look at the past 3.5 years for thread requests for other topics, such as religion and fitness, we can see that tech thread requests have certainly been more numerous. There have been more tech request threads in the past 3.5 years than there have been requests for a religion board since 2006. Impressively, however, there appear to be 30 request threads for a fitness board since 2007, although normalized over the past 3.5 years, such requests have been exceeded by requests for a tech board.
I've certainly never been averse to the possibility of a Fitness Board, and feel such a board would definitely thrive.
