Like, really actually know?

Ive read all of the complaints, all justified imo. What I havent read about is who had the authority to make the schedule? Who else had input? Did all SEC schools have any input or participate in any way? Was it top secret until it was just rolled out to the schools?

Our AD Joe Alleva has taken a lot of heat claiming he is weak and just rolled over and took it deep up the rectum. What could he have done? Were any of the AD's consulted with during or prior to the process?

Hopefully someone with actual knowledge of the process can comment on how it was handled. Im interested in the nuts and bolts of the issue

Haven't you been listening? Alabama is that authority.

It wasn't top secret. It was just that no other school was included.

Each school was represented in a formed committee to arrive at the bridge schedule.

LSU's scheduling coordinator is Asst. AD Verge Ausberry. To my knowledge, there has been no individual statements made from any of the schools' representatives.

There was a method used, but variations had to occur, due to scheduling difficulties with home and away, open dates, etc. The biggest factor that worked in Alabama's favor is that Missuori wanted its home SEC opener to be a big name, and they specifically wanted Alabama.

Alabama was more than happy to oblige, and skip their date with rightful opponent Georgia.

The 2014 and 2015 schedules should have LSU playing 2 teams out of Vandy, Kentucky, and Missouri, and Bama playing SC and FL.

I actually had a random meeting with one of Missouri's Asst AD's in Orange Beach this summer, and he confirmed their desire to play Bama. I told him it must be nice to get your way with the conference, especially considering all the seniority Missouri has.

It also confirms what we all know to be true. Alabama with Saban is more marketable, and therefore will be given every opportunity to succeed in the best interests of the conference, where everyone in the end, gets paid.

And that is the bottom line. Don't forget it. Absolutely nothing to do with fairness and equality in competition to determine champions.

Really the only thing that changed was the desire for each new school to have a marquee cross-divisional home game in their first season. Hence, the marquee team from the East (Florida) went to A&M, and the marquee team from the West (Alabama) was sent to Mizzou. The rotation has stayed as close to the same as possible with the addition of two new teams.

There is actually a lot of science to it. A distingushed Alabama alum surveys the field of East teams and tries to discern which will be good and which will not be. The good teams are assigned to LSU and the crappy ones to Bama. Since it is remotelty possible that this situation might change on short notice, the bridge schedule was devised so that a year-by-year assessment might be made. If need be, long forgotten traditional apponents of Alabama such as Mizzou, Kentucky or Vandy will be re-discovered and added to the Bama schedule.
There is immense pressure on the distinguised Tide alum to get this right. Any slip up and Bama might not get its 1,437th SEC championship causing a collapse on the tee shirt industry throughout the entire state of Alabama resuting in trailer park riots.

The process was to make sure LSU goes to Georgia and Alabama goes to Kentucky even though LSU had Fla on their schedule already.
