how many did you sign during the regular season and how many in the off-season?

I believe I signed 21 in year 2. Of those 21 18 were signed before the end of the season. This is the key, because if you are going after multiple guys at the end of the year you will not get any.

I targeted about 15-18 guys to begin the season (all people that were highly interested). I then offered all of them scholarships and you may pick up an insta commit or two. Then I take my most needed guys and max out their points. Stick with them at Max points throughout the early weeks until you see you have built up a huge lead (in some cases you will never build up that lead and have to Max out throughout).

You will eventually get some of those guys to start signing. Once you do you can pick a few more guys to target and Max out their points later in the process. Go after guys who you already targeted that a school doesn't have a large lead, or find others that are very low % locks to other schools and go after them hard.

Try to get it to where you only need 2-3 guys to sign in the offseason. Throw a ton of points at just them and hope nobody throws more.

This method worked great. Id imagine its very hard with a shitty school bc you can't get instant commits and get locked out a lot more. Good luck.

Great info Dash! That's what I thought I'd learned, so guess we'll see this season.

I wish I would have just simmed a season or two in a default dynasty to get the hang of it before beginning regular dynasty.
