yeah they are.
interesting that its pointed out that Bama complained about something that on the whole didn't affect them all that much and the league moved on their complaint.
LSU is complaining about something that is legitimate (soft scheduling helped UGA go to ATL last yr) and is clearly favoring Bama and Tamu. the thing is though this year was a 1 yr bridge schedule made by the SEC not just the bad luck of rotation.
cross div opponents are a whole other argument and something else that needs to be examined. and whether or not 4 schools are more important than the other 10.
i do love Spurrier's suggestion of eliminating cross div opponents and on years when let's say bama and tenn don't play they can schedule each other as an out of conf game. they would still play but it wouldn't count as an sec game that year.

correct, i wonder what the argument against it would be? it makes so much sense.
if someone said "well the game won't matter if it's not a conf game!!"
but if its truly a rivalry game, then that's BS. UF-FSU, SC-Clem, UGA-GT, ND vs anyone...
those games matter to those fanbases. the only team with a legit gripe would be UGA who already plays GT out of conf and would have to play AU out of conf when they rotate off schedule.
