Yeah, something tells me that Korra's father wasn't responsible for the spirit attack at all and his brother merely used his brother's raid to his advantage and summoned some spirits. I'm thinking he did something similar what Ozai did with Iroh and then asked his father to revoke his brother's birthright. Unlike Ozai's father, he agreed to it, so he overthrew his brother in the process.

Yeah, thinking the same. Be interesting to see how things go down, can;t see Korra really sitting around watching the southern tribe getting basically taken over.
