Just found this video on youtube and it's basically what it sounds like.
I'll be borrowing room mates car for work tomorrow and hoping it makes it to the dealership saturday morning.

if it's just a lifter tick, you can go quite a while on it. Some mechanics will tell you it's relatively normal in a high mileage engine. Sometimes an oil change will quiet it down if you haven't changed it lately. The shaking would worry me, though.
