I plan on going with veteran divers my first time and will prolly only shoot mangroves and sheephead to start. Trust me I will be very cautious and safe, just looking to get into it. thanks for the advice so far

I always taught new guys with a pole spear. No cocking bands, and no cable to get wrapped in. Still enough power to shoot triggers and mangroves
