If u just got certified a rig is not the first place to go. Often have strong currents and ince u get swept out there is nowhere to go. Surface currents can be particularly brutal. So best to get comfortable with all your gear before u try a rig. Secondly, dint even think about bringing a gun down on your first few dives. Need to understand the situation and your surroundings before having to worry about cables, thrashing fish and the fact u have to be aware whats going on with your depth and air even while handling a fish. Third, on your first rig dives go with someone experienced. Someone who cam deal with your inexperience and not let u both get in trouble. Fourth, do some simple florida dives and learn how to breathe. As a newbie u pbly blow through a tank. Therefore u limit your buddy too, and no one wants to ride out 40 miles to make short dives. Just my two cents
