Actually, he has.

Not since he won the Heisman, and thats what we are talking about. That was a matter of public knowledge and voters still gave him the Heisman. You think they strip him of the award because of that now? That makes no sense.

Actually, given the Advocate's track record this week writing columns about how terrible Hill is for a misdemeanor conviction and Mett is for skipping the Manning Academy... Manziel did BOTH of those things this week. I await the scathing column decrying him.

Sounds like your beef is with the Advocate. Instead of shitting on a college kid for having fun, go take your issue up with them.

He was only arrested at the time. He got convicted and sentenced afterward.

And the Heisman clowns set a terrible precedent by stripping Reggie Bush of his trophy, which is why I brought it up by saying, "one could argue". I did not say that I thought he would or should, just that an argument can be made when there are nebulous standards of conduct, etc.

When did a I shite on him? I said I have no problem with him enjoying being Johnny Football. I know I would. I even said stripping him of the Heisman is stupid. I just pointed out your factual error -- he has been arrested and convicted (just last week!).

I also pointed out attacking May does not actually refute his points. It's an ad hominem attack. While funny, it doesn't mean he's wrong. So, i think since we're attacking media members in this thread, the Advocate's similar conduct over similar charges were relevant. I doubt I'll "take things up with them" because I don't have that much emotionally invested in it, just enough to talk about it on a message board.
