not really. may would be a hypocrite if he was currently doing the same things. telling someone not to do something because you have past experience doing similar things and you understand how stupid it was does not make one a hypocrite.

You are wrong. May was speaking from a high horse.

It would be one thing if he said..."take it from me, who did similar things when I was your age..."

That's not what happened. May was arrested for far worse things at the age of 20. And then continued to make repetitive bad decision (back to to back DUIs) as a grown man in the NFL.

Yeah but thats not what Mark May did.

He simply sent out a tweet telling Manziel to stop "shaming the game". He didn't reference his past mistakes/experience or do anything but act sanctimonious.

Is Manziel supposed to know of Mark May's background by magic?

Does Mark May really think he is helping Manziel through a tweet or is he just calling him out?
