Several "leasing agents" around Sledge and Crowder are getting bad names because of those type stunts. I leased from this same guy three years ago. Said his best performing fields last year were in beans.

Rice should be up and starting to form a head in the stalk by now. Too much rain to plant would have been in April and they would have just planted late. Worst case scenario is they absolutely couldn't plant rice and had to fall back and plant a late schedule soybean. If that were the case the price of rice would be booming and it is not.

I don't doubt the statement about a bean field out performing a rice field. There are many factors that go into this but the biggest one is the modern day combines. If the machine is set right it can pull enough rice out of the field to starve a blackbird to death.

This was a hell of a lot more than just that, all I'm saying is do not get into a place unless you know someone personally
