It will not matter, the issues they're facing now are nothing. The US dollar has strengthened and hit hurt them bad last quarter and this quarter, but that's not sustainable, look at our debt level and look at the printing going on. If you really believe the US dollar won't lose its luster over the next 25 years you have to be on crack.
Volumes went down in a few asian/european countries bc of an increase in taxes, we've been raising taxes here for 50+ years and the profits have been rising. It's really the current strength of the dollar that is hurting them, but that makes it a great time to accumulate shares, and this september the dividend will rise to near $4/share making anything you buy today officially a 4.3% yield in september, that is fantastic.
Lots of blue chips are facing headwinds, coke missed earnings as well, but earnings are overstated, they're merely estimates placed upon a company by some analysts in New York. These companies are fine, I would think you'd have to be suicidal to short coke or cigarettes. There's nothing to see just analysts doing what analysts do but both companies are very much profitable, just maybe not to the expectations of wall street, but they're not going anywhere anytime soon.
I'm still fapping, you want the price low as long as possible while you're in the accumulation phase of your youth, the end goal is as many SHARES as possible, that's what you will live off in retirement, the dividend/share......capital gains are nice, but price drops are much nicer.
