I don't know anything about those 3 in particular but you see more seniors drafted in the top 10 rounds now than you used to because they can be signed for peanuts and the savings can be used elsewhere. For example Katz signed for 95 in the 4th round and the Cardinals saved over 300k.

Seniors that used to be taken in rounds 11-25ish are now taken earlier, but signed for the same amount.
