re: Need to Kill Time: What's a story that you've heard that still gives you chills

My two best friends were coming home from a night class about 4 years ago in rural Mississippi. As they were cruising down a back road they both saw a figure in a cape on an embankment on the shoulder of the road. They described it as a dark figure about 4 feet high with pointy ears. The friend driving slowed down as they approached it. When they got parallel to it, it flashed away from them and up the embankment into the darkness. They said they didn’t even acknowledge it until about 15 minutes later when one looked to the other and asked, “did you see that”? The other replied he had, but thought he had imagined it. These guys don’t really sensationalize things and haven’t made anything like this up before. I think you can tell when your friends are bs’ing and whether they actually saw something or not, I believe that they were sincere in what they believed.
