No I don't know anyone from there. I graduated flight school and 6 months later I was in Afghanistan. Pretty lucky as far as timing goes.
By down south I'm guessing your talking KAF? My sister company probably ripped those guys as the timeframes match up perfectly.

Damn i didnt know they closed all those places along the Pech, but i havent really kept up with it since I left. Konar sure was crazy though, a lot of fighting every day in the Pech.
