Isn't this the best year possible to just start rebuilding instead of squeezing out a few more wins?

Next year's draft is supposedly incredible in the top 7 picks. Kobe is out hurt.

We are rebuilding. Next offseason EVERYONE on the team except for Steve Nash is a free agent. We will resign Kobe (tho even that scares me bc of Jim Buss) and add either Lebron (unlikely), Melo (probable) or Paul George. Also think we will push hard for Kyrie Irving or John Wall along with Kevin Love once they open up

right, so the year after this is the year when a new team starts to take shape... why screw up the 2014 draft pick when the 2013-2014 season won't end up in a championship?

Yes, pretty unlikely.

Melo (probable)

Why would Melo leave NY? That's a lateral move at best market wise and probably going to a worse team in a harder conference to just make the playoffs.

Paul George

He is a RESTRICTED Free Agent and I guarantee Indy matches.

The Lakers will probably end up rebuilding around Rudy Gay and it will be enjoyably bad.
