The good: He's a great coach

The bad: He's not Saban

Some good posts so far, but this is the best one. It's funny; it's pithy; and it's true.

ButI'd sure miss Miles' personality if we had NS.

I agree with Lacour

There I said it. And boy oh boy are some of you in for a ride awakening when the man moves on.

Probably the best 8 year stretch in LSU history

Probably? The only stretch that comes even close is 58-65 and there was a 5-4-1, 7-4 and 8-3 seasons in that stretch

ETA: and I personally prefer his personality over the other guy. He fits us as a fan base to a fricking T

pretty much says it all. but....we are fortunate to have Miles. would I rather have Saban? sure....with thirteen years at LSU you can just imagine what he would have built by now. c'est la vie.

And like it or not, there's a wide gap there between the two.

In game day coaching, team preperation, management, player utilization and play calling, is much better and his staff is a better teaching staff overall. He don't put up with assistants that can't teach their position effectively. 3 of 4 don't lie.

I'm not as thrilled with the overall Miles staff as many of the Pumper People seem to be. Great recruiting staff, but I don't think some of the assistants are that good in teaching/technical
position coaching. There are some weak links there.

But Les finally exorcised the stubborn Demon and admitted that he needed help with the hiring of Cam Cameron. Hopefully, that move will be just what the doctor ordered and will solve the offensive/game management problems.
