While it was obvious that the disaster that was the 2008 season had rather severe effects on the mentality of JLee, I don't think we ever truly appreciated the effect it had on the mentality of Les Miles. After that season our offense went into a shell, and for the most part of the last 4 years it has stayed there. For the record, I think Les will make major strides forward this year. He trusts Cam enough to open up the offense a bit, and when he has some success, he'll feel more comfortable. A year or two from now we will have "Lesticles" back. Then the SEC will have their hands full.

He's lucky he's recruited so damn well, most coaches don't get the chance to come "out of their shell."

That said, I think Miles is a great coach. (I hate saying this) but if it wasn't for Saban at Bama, Miles probably has three titles under his belt already.
