There were times when the guys commentating the games would be frustrated by the play calling and the routes called for on the passing plays. The box was always stacked, yet the pass plays were for the most part, underneath routs. Every once in a blue moon, a long pass was called and never anything to the tight ends over the middle. The intermediate passes in the middle of the field was non existent. Defenses played the short out or look ins, and the run. The line couldn't protect because they were always outnumbered at the line. The middle of the field was a safe zone for the defense.

When you have a qb struggling with accuracy and wr dropping the ball, the last thing you call is a play over the middle. It's the last kind of play you want.

This! So many that bash ZM don't know shite about football. The play calling was terrible. Our offensive coaching in general was terrible. The WRs looked like they had never payed football until last year. We kept doing the same thing over and over hoping for different results.

Defenses were pinning their ears back and coming at us. How many screens did we call last year? How many times did we throw to the RB out of the back field? Not many times but when we did it worked.

I'll hold my judgement on ZM until I can see what Cam can do with him.

play calling sucked at times, but the wrs werent catching the fricking balls. we threw to clement and jacobs, several times mett hit them just for them to drop it.

mett threw deep, he just missed almost every time. if your players arent executing those plays, then the coaches are going to call plays they can execute.

tes cant catch, so why throw it to them. mett cant hit the deeo ball, so why let him keep doing it.

in fact the coaches have tried to just keep the qbs from turning the ball iver since 08. call it cinservative, but we havent had a season like 08 since.
