How do you suppose my theory is junk?
2011, 2007, 2006, and 2005 all Top 10 FBS in Margin of Victory.
Guess you didn't think I could back it up.

Maybe you got some link showing Miles LSU teams at the bottom?

People just hate Miles for no reason other than hes not Saban. 2002 was worse than anything Miles has fielded. 2004 is rt on par with 2009.

2011 was a great season. Outside of that LSU plays almost every SEC game close.

2005: 6/9 SEC games decided by 4 points or less or a loss.
2006: 5/8 SEC games decided by 5 points or less or a loss.
2007: 7/9 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2008: 7/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2009: 6/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2010: 6/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2011 was great.
2012: 7/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
