Once this draft happens tomorrow then the 2013 pick is no longer a future 1st. In this case the Pelicans would be trading the rights to the player they picked for Cleveland at 6 and a 2014 1st, not 2 draft picks.

It depends on the order of operations.

If the trade is made after pick 6 is made, we can trade the 2013 pick and the 2014 pick at the same time.


Still doesn't make this idea any less stupid. Moving up 5 slots in exchange for giving up Vasquez and a future 1st, in a more loaded draft, is a shite deal.
