My post on the poly-board regarding marriage/SCOTUS was deleted

After today' SCOTUS ruling on Prop 8 (same sex marriage) - an issue closely relating politics and religious beliefs - and an issue that my Church has taken considerable criticism for, I posted quotes and a link on my church's beliefs (which are mine also) on marriage - a full explanation.
It was promptly deleted.
I do not see how I violated any of the posting guidelines. While a bit long, it fully explained my views on why the Supreme Court ruling today - and other laws and rulings - are wrong. More importantly, my post explained exactly why the traditional definition of marriage must be protected.

It was purely religious in nature, which Chicken has declared verboten.
Also, I wasn't sure you were being serious.
