The One controller features a proprietary connector. So, no, you won't be able to use your old headsets.
Microsoft wants players to use the Kinect for voice chat during games. It seems to work well enough when you're alone, but I'm curious to see how functional the Kinect will be when others are in the room. The Kinect is intelligent enough to only accept voice input from the individual with the controller in his hands, but how would the player selectively determine which audio they want to transmit when they speak?
Perhaps one of the contextual buttons on the controller cold be used to enable voice input for the Kinect via a press and hold mechanic.
