Booty was possibly the greatest high school QB ever. He was also a first round pick in baseball and got a World Series ring. Not really surprising that he was cocky.

I suppose...but when your GM calls you "the worst first round pick" he's ever seen and you never bat above the Mendoza line, a huge heaping dose of humility is probably appropriate.
For the record, I liked Booty. Seemed like he loved the Tigers. Can't blame a kid for chasing a million dollar signing bonus. But I hope his ego wasn't as inflated as many make it out to be.

Pretty easy to accomplish with the level of talent around him.
Oh that, and the fact that he never faced a pass rush because he took every snap from what amounted to punt formation.
