The more I read about him, the more I like the move.
...This actually fits perfectly for us drafting Burke. Pick and Roll with Davis/Ryno and have CC on the outside shooting threes.
How is his defense? He's tall and long for a 3, but is he athletic enough to guard 3s?

He can shoot the three, but he doesnt do anything else. Nothing wrong with that, but I doubt they are thinking of doubling his mpg and turning him into a starter.

Pretty bad. His self-assessment is that he was ok in man-to-man but was terrible in help defense, which by all accounts seems to be the case.
But he is a hard worker:
quote:
"I'll be working out of Richmond, Virginia, mostly. I went to high school out there and I have some trainers there. Also, some NBA guys like Ben Wallace and Ed Davis. I'll be a much better player next year; that's my goal. My focus is defense, absolutely."

I was about to ask the same thing. If he can't guard 3's, then no way we being him in as a potential starter. Could maybe get by as a SF with the 2nd unit guarding other teams bench SF's, but I would like to see what Miller can give us as a bench SF guy getting 10-15 mins per game this year.
Also his per 36 rebounding numbers (5 per 36) aren't good for someone that played 50/50 SF and PF. Him on the court with Lopez seems like would kill us on the boards.
