Remember it like yesterday.
Our family was split between Tulane sides and LSU sides. David Falgoust, a cousin, kicked the two extra points for Tulane in their 14-0 win. It was like the end of the world to me.
These days, you'd never even know that there is a Tulane side of the family. They've all disappeared under a rock. As they say, for there to be a rivalry, both teams have to win from time to time.

The Goose from Bayou Lafouche?
In My senior year of HighSchool,'66-'67, I was employed by a local band, "Wild Cherries" that played home and home joint frat parties. Pregame was always friendly enough, but post game, my job was to keep the flying bodies off the equipment. It turned into an old west bar brawl. Awwww the good old days!

I attended the '73 game. It was a nightmare. To make matters worse, I went to hear my brother's band who was playing at a frat party. During the party, the Tulane frat boys brought in a part of the goal post which was torn down. As an LSU fan, it was brutal to watch.
