I cant imagine these experts aren't decanting, therefore making your argument moot. Or they are pouring from the bottle, where no matter the time open doesn't allow enough surface area to breath. Either way the argument is not valid.

Many studies over many years, over many areas, about many things wine snob all show the same thing.
