There have been 20 seasons in NBA history in which a big man averaged at least 16 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.7 offensive rebounds and made at least 74% of his free throw attempts.

That is the most random set of stats I have ever seen put together. So because Howard or Shaq or pretty much any other Center are poor FT shooters their seasons are not as good? Like I said..

2012-13 Pek
62 games, 16.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg, .8 bpg, 52 %fg, 74 %ft
2011-12 Gortat
66 games, 15.4 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.5 bpg, 55 %fg, 64 %ft

Gortat makes 7.5m and no one says that he is way underpaid. How is Pek any better?

Well gortat averaged 11 and 8.5 this year compared to Peks 16 and 8.8, I'm not sure why you cited gortats 11-12 stats (the best of his career) other than to try and prove your point.

Peks only been in the league for three years and has improved drastically every single year. Pek has a better offensive game than your boy Gortat, but most importantly I don't think Pek has reached his potential quite yet.

In today's NBA the definition of elite center has changed because there are so few of them. Pek may not be elite right now, but there is no doubt in my mind that he will be elite due to his consistent improvement and already averaging about 16 and 9.
