Happy Anniversary, Landon Donovan!
Three years ago today, I didn't start watching soccer...I started loving it. Over in another part of South Africa, we knew England would grab a win, giving them five points and forcing us to win in order to advance from group play. Well something special happened about 45 seconds into stoppage time.

I had the pleasure at coming in to Baton Rouge from out o town and being at Plucker's.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I couldn't believe it had taken me 19+ years to start watching soccer.
I was working at a day camp where I went to high school. When we scored I took the giant American flag that was on the wall and started waving that bitch like crazy. I was in charge of 5 and 6 year old boys. I'm pretty sure they had no idea what was going on by by God they were excited

Three other guys and myself left work to watch at one of their houses. We all went crazy when Donovan scored. One of his neighbors said "y'all must have been watching the soccer game" when we left headed back to work. What an awesome game.

my gfs cat had infested my house with fleas, so me and my friends watched the game with little bowls of hot water and soap sitting beside us to kill them when we inevitably found them jumping on us.
and it was still one of the best days ever.
