the players get the majority of the payout. i'm not sure them winning the WS gives you much of an additional monetary boost from what you already have advancing this far in the playoffs. and it's unknown how much of that would actually go to Pool or the Red Sox and not FSG's pocket.

I guess I look at it more in the aspect of what winning the series will bring ($$$) you in marketing and branding. (In a somewhat local market)
Then if that extra money that usually isn't there is invested into a Liverpool (global market) what kind of returns would FSG get then by having a recent WS champion and a EPL club in the UCL ... it could mean big returns for the investment.
