So I was watching Jenkinson yesterday and he played fairly well, but what I noticed is that he often slowed our play down, and struggled with the ball at his feet. He probably isn't the long-term answer at RB, but he could be moved to CB easily, as he has the size, speed, and agility to be a high-quality CB. That said, he probably is the best pure athlete on the team as he is both fast and can run for days. I just don't think he has Sagna's or even Eboue's level of technical skill.

yeah, that's been my problem with him throughout. he's not skilled enough. sagna can exchange passes with our attacking players and be involved in attacking exchanges much more fluidly. Jenks can only play simple passes or lower his head and sprint. he's solid defensively now. he shouldn't be a starter for us, but he's a useful squad player.

still was fun to see him score a goal as a lifelong arsenal fan.

it will be interesting to see who we get to replace Sagna. he's not the best in attack, but his combination in being effective in attack and awesome in defense over the course of his arsenal career was unmatched by other RBs in the league over that time period. aurier is more attacking from what i've read, and has also played well at CB apparently, so it'd be interesting to see how that would influence our offensive game.
