Probably, but we really only need one or two players. We have a pretty good team right now, which is very close to winning things. I'd rather buy superlative players than settle. We've been settling for 8 years in the transfer market, so even if we don't get anyone, I think we should be able to compete, especially this year where all the major teams have managers in their first or second year (I don't know how to label Mourinho).
We are nearly two deep at every position (save for CB, ST and DM, though we have players who can play those positions in the squad), and this is the first year since 2005 we haven't had a major departure.
Our young midfield has grown together, and we haven't lost a game since March 3rd. We have lots of young talent that is eager to impress, and we've cleared out a bunch of dross from the wage bill. We've had a great summer so far. Of course, all this can change in an instant, but on paper this should be our best team since 2009-10, which was a title winning team, if not for (again) injuries.

Can't be understated enough. That in itself is almost equivalent to a big signing.
I just can't believe Arsene didn't come into the transfer window with major conviction, especially considering all the things you just said.
