Even in their death throes, Sat/cable companies are still a-holes. (Apple TV)

I was so excited to hear today that HBOGO was finally added to Apple TV only to see that DirectTV was a hold out. One of only two hold outs.

In my house, I can use HBOGO on our game consoles, our iPads, our iPhones and can mirror onto the TV's with our MacBooks via Apple TV.

I don't understand this dick move.

HBOGO is fine via XBox onto the big screen but not Apple TV?

Crazy.

im not sure i understand

Apple TV has it HBOGo.. so you can get it to your TV
Xbox has it.. so you can get it to your TV

what is DTV preventing? What are they holding out on?

Im genuinely asking, not being an arse..

When you log onto top HBO Go you select your sat/cable provider and log on through them. I guess DTV refused to have their service as an option. I really don't know but I guess that's what he means.

We have two XBoxes. We have been able to access HBOGO to play on the TV via that platform for a long time now. Problem is, the XBoxes are in kid's rooms.

Like I said, I can use HBOGO on everything in my damn house other than Apple TV.

Was looking forward to HBOGO on the TVs I watch via Apple TV and when it happens, DirectTV goes into jack arse mode and won't allow it.

These guys are done, but they just are acting like count right to the bitter end.

The XBoxes are in my boy's rooms and the main TV my wife and I watch has an Apple TV. We love HBOGO and use it on our iPads all the time. We have looked forward to it being on Apple TV forever and I don't understand what DirectTV gains by holding out.

I can mirror from my Air so it's not like they are stopping me from watching HBOGO on my main screen. What is weird is that they are fine with HBOGO on Xbox and not Apple TV.

I guess they feel like Apple is moving in to take over movies and TV like they did music and they fear them more than Microsoft.

DirecTV reversed their decision late yesterday afternoon. I'm sure they got plenty of phone calls.
