That is par for the course with them.
But most could see through that, no way publishers were going to allow that.

IMO, it was to quell the recent bad PR.

Ha hell no. Because if that was the case you'd have to believe they would have dedicated a whole 15 min Slot at e3 where 4 dorks are on stage all complaining about how they didn't have the new COD and how their local store closed 15 min ago. Then the lights pan to little 10 year old Scotty saying one of them could play it while he goes to sleep since he has school tomorrow, whoever wins the dance off kinect 2.0 style gets to play it. They all rejoice and a dance off commences

Another thing about all of this is going to game stop and looking at used games with my kids is a big deal. I usually keep the few games I buy for sentamental value but all of my kids games are used for a month or two and then traded in. This would have killed all of that. Not cool.

Now that they have done a 180 on this I think the XBOX 180 is back in the game.
