Even digital, PSN+, and everything you can think of, when a game on console goes on sale it is still more expensive than it is or has been on PC.

A few factors play into that but not nearly as much as used games do.

One Dev just said last night that "He has seen the number of unique gamertags vs the number of actual new games sold and it isn't good"

Publishers keep track of this and tons of other stats to determine what they can and can't afford to do. Use games will kill consoles from ever having truly massive digital sales like you find on Steam and PC in general.

PS1 games are a bad example to use because you are talking about games that are at the very least 13 years old. That's more along the lines of milking that cow that has been paid off for years a few last times before she dies.


Well you completely changed the subject, so I'm just going to say that the dumbest response a publisher/developer can have to used games is to make new games more expensive.
