any of you guys get/download the new May '77 box set?

I downloaded it last week and been listening the shite out of it. Pristine sound and all just killer shows. Hard to argue against may '77 being the pinnacle of the dead.

and as much as it pains me to say, the 5/17 show in tuscaloosa is the best of the bunch

Not yet. If there's a year that is close to unanimously being the best, that's it.
